Robert L. Rice wins "Heart of Utah" Award

The American Heart Association honored Robert(Bob) L. Rice
during their annual gala on April 13, 2002. The award was for Bob's contribution in developing fitness awareness across the country.

Bob Rice pioneered the first national public fitness company over 30 years ago. Today, Bob owns and operates Lifestles 2000, which has fitness centers in Utah, and Riviera Fitness Centers in Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana and Tennessee.

Bob Rice has served on President Nixon's Council of Physical Fitness. He is the recipient of the Horatio Alger Award, The American Academy of Achievement Award, and a Doctorate of Humanities Award from the University of Utah.
